La Crosse Sign Co. Inc. of Onalaska is looking to hire an Accounting Assistant as a key component in our continued growth. As one of the leading sign companies in the WI/MN/IA tri-state area, we now have three locations (Onalaska, Eau Claire, Madison) to better serve our customers.
The successful candidate will be a key team member in the growth of our Accounting Department and be responsible for daily Cash, Accounts Receivable and Job Costing functions. This position will also provide administrative support to our Vice President and Finance Manager.
3-4 years relevant working experience
Professional demeanor and high attention to detail
Excellent communication, telephone and computer skills
Proficient grammar and proofreading skills
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Must have previous Accounts Receivable background/knowledge

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
