To support our mission, we are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy IT/ Tech Specialist to join our team.
Summary:
As an IT/ Tech Specialist at Fleis Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our technological infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will encompass training, troubleshooting, system administration, documentation, and continuous improvement of our software systems.
You will also have the opportunity to shape our future technology roadmap.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Training & Education:
Onboard new team members in basic processes, workflows, and website usage.
Collaborate with department trainers for a seamless transition of new employees.
Conduct team training sessions on new software as well as for updates to existing software.
Share technology tips and successes with the team weekly.
2.
Troubleshooting:
Be on call to promptly address and resolve technical issues.
3.
Installations:
Oversee the installation of new and replacement hardware.
Assist in the relocation of technology both within and outside of the office.
Maintain equipment both internally and externally.
4.
System Administration:
Ensure checks and balances are in place for all system administration processes.
Create written security procedure documentation to meet carrier and state requirements.
Thoroughly test all aspects of technology, including workflows, automation, and reporting before, during, and after deployment.
Internal SharePoint Website:
Manage and maintain the internal SharePoint website and agency intranet.
Email Administration:
Implement measures to block SPAM using Barracuda or similar tools.
Timely documentation of Locknet tech support emails.
Phone System Management:
Oversee the management of the phone system including setup, troubleshooting, updates, and training.

Workflow Management:
Maintain and update the technology workflow document library.
Collaborate with departments to review and improve existing workflows.
6.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
Develop and maintain a robust disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
7.
Project Management:
Lead IT projects, including researching, testing, and implementing new technologies.
Regularly evaluate the current technology landscape to identify areas for improvement within the agency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience in IT support and system administration.
Familiarity with insurance agency workflows and software is a plus including Applied Epic.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive approach to technology improvement and optimization.
